About Trou d’Argent
Trou d’Argent is a small cove beach on Rodrigues, known for its tucked-away position along the island’s eastern coast. The Rodrigues Tourism Office describes it as an isolated beach accessible only on foot, making the walk part of the outing. It is reached via the coastal path between Saint François and Graviers, through a landscape of smaller coves and open shoreline rather than by road to the sand.
Plan this as a hike as well as a beach stop: carry water, sun protection and footwear suitable for an uneven coastal route, and allow enough time to return before dark. There are no services at the cove confirmed by the tourism office, so bring what you need and take all rubbish back with you. It suits visitors comfortable with a walk who want a quieter natural setting.
