SO/ Sofitel Mauritius

SO/ Sofitel Mauritius is on the south coast at Beau Champ, in the Bel Ombre area. Architect Lek Bunnag and designer Kenzo Takada shaped its buildings and interiors. The resort has 84 rooms, 6 suites and 2 villas, along with a private beach, an infinity pool, the SO SPA, a gym, two restaurants and bars.

Suites are 70 m², with a terrace and garden or sea-facing views; family suites sleep four. Le Flamboyant, the main restaurant, serves an international buffet with local flavours beside the infinity pool, on Kenzo Takada tableware. The south coast location makes it a quiet base for Bel Ombre and the southern sights, away from the busier northern resort towns.
