About Le Courtyard

Le Courtyard is a French restaurant on the corner of Chevreau and St Louis Streets in the centre of Port Louis, close to the embassies, ministries and offices of the capital. Its best-known feature is the courtyard itself: a patio open to the sky, with air-conditioned dining rooms around it for the hotter days.

The kitchen works with quality, seasonal produce and aims for cooking that is fresh, spontaneous and light, with an eye on nutritional balance. Alongside the regular menu, the chef's dishes offer bolder choices for diners who want to eat differently. The kitchen is led by chef Alankalee Mootoosamy.

With several rooms in different styles, Le Courtyard also hosts private events for two, ten or a hundred guests, with sit-down menus, finger food, cocktails, high tea or apéritifs. It suits a business lunch in the city as much as a long, unhurried meal on the patio. Tables can be booked online or by phone.
